Software Dev Engineer

Amazon's Profit Intelligence team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to build large-scale data intelligence systems that measure and predict profitability across Amazon's retail business. The role involves working with Applied Scientists and Big Data Engineers to develop complex software solutions for stream processing and ML model implementation.

The team focuses on computing and predicting the profitability of every Amazon shipment, providing crucial insights into factors driving growth and profitability across millions of daily shipments. You'll be working with cutting-edge AWS cloud services, distributed systems, forecasting algorithms, and data mining technologies.

As an SDE, you'll be responsible for building foundational data infrastructure using AWS Services including Redshift, S3, Step Functions, Glue, Spark, Flink, and Kinesis. You'll develop scalable ingestion pipelines handling multiple data sources and build tools for configurable Unit Economics generation. The role requires expertise in data security, governance, and building high-throughput systems.
