Secure Systems Architect - Platform Architecture

Apple's Platform Architecture group is seeking a Secure Systems Architect to join their team responsible for connecting hardware, software, and servers into a unified system. This role focuses on securing the world's most advanced consumer devices and improving the security of Apple's products. The position involves defining architecture and overseeing distributed web services that set and enforce security policy for development, manufacture, deployment, and operation of Apple products.

The ideal candidate will collaborate across business, legal, support, and product development teams to define security policies and drive alignment on key security initiatives at the senior executive level. They will identify emerging threats, develop threat models, and create security architectures for new Apple products while working with iconic product and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities include developing system-level specifications, driving security requirements into web application services, and championing industry-leading security technologies across multiple product categories. The role requires extensive experience in backend web services, programming languages like Python and Go, and DevOps practices.

This is a senior-level position requiring 20+ years of relevant industry experience, with preferences for candidates holding a Masters in EE/CE and having strong expertise in cryptographic principles, threat modeling, and system security architecture. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the trust millions of customers place in their Apple devices every day.
