Responsibilities For Autonomy Engineer

  • Write software that operates real autonomous aircraft systems including F16 fighter jets and UAVs
  • Build and improve robotic autonomy software architectures
  • Implement state-of-the-art unmanned aerial system autonomy solutions
  • Collaborate with DoD warfighter domain experts and UAS vehicle vendors
  • Implement and optimize autonomy algorithms for sensor processing, mission planning, and control theory

Requirements For Autonomy Engineer

  • Master's degree in computer science/related engineering field
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience developing software for autonomous robotic systems
  • High proficiency in Python programming language
  • Strong functional, procedural, data-oriented, and object-oriented programming experience
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
  • Must be willing to travel (~20%)
  • Must be located within 60 min of Irvine, CA
