Asana is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to drive technical strategy and execution for Platform Adoption. This role is crucial in shaping product experiences, backend architecture, and data models that power Asana's app ecosystem. The ideal candidate will lead a cross-functional team of software engineers and developer advocates, contributing to their growth through mentorship.

Working closely with API and Integrations teams, you'll leverage your full-stack expertise to build a thriving two-sided platform. You'll collaborate with peers across R&D to ensure a solid technical foundation for the team's roadmap. Key responsibilities include setting technical strategy, advocating for engineering-driven investments, driving team improvement, collaborating across organizational boundaries, and making individual contributions by developing across the entire stack (Scala, Javascript, and Typescript).

The role requires 5+ years of experience in large codebases, 2+ years leading product engineering teams, and 1+ years building API-first products or Developer Platforms. Excellent communication, quick learning, and project management skills are essential. The ideal candidate is passionate about mentoring and fostering an inclusive team environment.

Asana offers a comprehensive compensation package, including a base salary range of $202,000-$258,000, equity, and benefits such as mental health support, career coaching, and long-term savings plans. The position is based in San Francisco with a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office presence on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
