The position involves working closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, architecture, firmware, and layout teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle. You'll be responsible for crucial tasks such as RTL design and verification, synthesis, and static timing analysis, contributing to both block and chip-level design and integration.
The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of experience in ASIC product development, with strong expertise in Verilog/VHDL coding, synthesis tools, and formal verification. Knowledge of 802.3 Ethernet standards and experience with UNIX-based EDA tools are essential. The role requires both technical excellence and strong interpersonal skills, as you'll be collaborating with various teams and contributing to high-volume manufacturing projects.

Responsibilities For ASIC Design Engineer
- Write engineering implementation specs from marketing/system requirements
- Perform RTL design and verification
- Conduct synthesis and static timing analysis
- Handle block and/or chip level design and integration
- Work with marketing, architecture, firmware, physical and layout teams
- Participate in full product development cycle from definition to production
Requirements For ASIC Design Engineer
- BSEE/MSEE degree
- Minimum 8 years of experience in communications/networking ASIC products
- Experience with 802.3 Ethernet standards
- Strong RTL experience including specification, design, verification, and synthesis
- Proficiency in UNIX-based EDA tools
- Knowledge of reusable HDL coding styles
- Experience with Verilog/VHDL coding and Lint tools
- Expertise in Synopsys tool suite and Primetime tool
- Knowledge of Formal Verification
- Understanding of DFT concepts
- Strong Perl and Tcl scripting skills
- Good personal communication skills
