Responsibilities For ASIC Design Engineer
- Work with marketing, architecture, firmware, physical and layout teams
- Participate in full product development cycle from definition to production
- Write engineering implementation specs from marketing/system requirements
- Perform RTL design and verification
- Conduct synthesis and static timing analysis
- Handle block and/or chip level design and integration
Requirements For ASIC Design Engineer
- BSEE/MSEE degree
- Minimum 8 years of experience in communications/networking ASIC products
- Understanding of system design tradeoffs for high volume applications
- RTL experience including specification, design, verification, and synthesis
- Strong UNIX-based EDA tool skills
- Knowledge of ASIC design flows
- Familiar with reusable HDL coding styles
- Experience with Verilog/VHDL coding and Lint tools
- Experience with Synopsys tool suite
- Experience with Timing Analysis using Synopsys Primetime tool
- Knowledge of Formal Verification
- Understanding of DFT concepts of Scan, BIST
- Strong Perl and Tcl scripting skills
