Fluence is seeking a Senior CSB (Cell Sense Board) Engineer to join their team in either Berlin or Erlangen, Germany. This role focuses on developing and implementing next-generation Cell Sense Boards for advanced battery management systems. The position combines hardware and embedded software development, requiring expertise in cell balancing, system integration, and firmware development. The ideal candidate will have 6-9 years of experience and will be responsible for designing, testing, and optimizing CSB systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

As a CSB Engineer, you'll be responsible for the entire development lifecycle of Cell Sense Boards, from initial design through testing and validation to final implementation. This includes optimizing cell balancing resistors, implementing diagnostics and monitoring features, and ensuring all designs meet UL, IEC, and ISO standards. The position requires a strong technical background combined with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities For CSB Engineer
- Design, develop, and implement next-generation Cell Sense Boards for advanced battery management systems
- Optimize cell balancing resistors to improve efficiency and performance of the battery cells
- Ensure seamless integration of CSB within the battery management system
- Plan and conduct development testing for CSB
- Implement advanced diagnostics and monitoring features within CSB
- Ensure all CSB designs adhere to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Prepare detailed documentation for CSB designs, testing protocols, and validation processes
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to CSB performance
- Work closely with cross-functional teams
- Identify and implement opportunities for improvement in CSB design
Requirements For CSB Engineer
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 6-9 years of experience in the development and integration of Cell Sense Boards
- Strong understanding of cell balancing techniques and optimization of resistors
- Proficiency in CSB development testing and characterization methodologies
- Experience with CSB firmware development and optimization
- Familiarity with diagnostics, monitoring, and fault detection features in CSB
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for CSB
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
