Description For DevOps Engineer IV

Lone Wolf Technologies is seeking a DevOps Engineer IV to join their technology engineering team in a hybrid work environment. This role is integral to their fast-moving, lean product development organization, supporting the Lone Wolf family of Applications. The position focuses on delivering reliable, scalable automation and tooling features while working closely with Development and Product teams to implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery across all Lone Wolf Cloud-based SaaS Products.

The role requires extensive expertise in AWS cloud environments, with responsibilities spanning from infrastructure management to automation implementation. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with various technologies including Linux systems, web servers (Apache/Nginx), multiple database systems (MySQL, Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch), and container technologies. They will be responsible for designing and implementing resilience strategies, managing backups, and ensuring optimal cloud resource management.

The role requires both technical expertise and collaborative skills, as the engineer will work across IT, DevOps, and Software Engineering teams. Responsibilities For DevOps Engineer IV

  • Design, implement and manage AWS cloud environments and assets
  • Manage OS, webservers, databases, caching and CDN
  • Container deployment and maintenance
  • Manage, evaluate, and report backups
  • Design, implement, and test resilience strategies
  • Perform AWS maintenance and upgrades
  • Implement cloud resource management
  • Create and maintain automation for environment provisioning
  • Manage monitoring and alerting systems
  • Create operational documentation
  • Support release management and code deployment pipelines
  • Facilitate transition from non AWS/Azure clouds to AWS

Requirements For DevOps Engineer IV

  • 5+ years of design, setup, deployment of AWS environments
  • 5+ years of building automation within AWS
  • Expert experience with Jenkins and similar tools
  • Expert experience with EC2, ECS and AWS Regions
  • Intermediate experience with Amazon Guard Duty, EventBridge, System Patch Manager, AWS KMS
  • Intermediate experience with Docker, AWS Fargate, Kubernetes, EKS
  • Intermediate experience with AWS Cloud Formation, Terraform, and Ansible
  • In-depth understanding of network concepts and security best practices
  • Intermediate to expert experience with Route 53 and Application Load Balancer
  • Understanding of Agile, Lean methodologies
  • Experience with open-source technologies and tools
  • Experience working for a high growth SaaS company
  • Conversational English Language skills
