As a Software Engineer, you'll collaborate with product teams to develop and deploy logical applications, from building intuitive UIs to creating microservices with cloud-native technologies. You'll be working with various computing environments, particularly focused on VMware infrastructure, Kubernetes orchestration, and system administration.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer - Compute Platform

  • Partner with product teams to translate business requirements into logical program designs and software solutions
  • Develop, configure and modify integrated business solutions within various computing environments
  • Test applications using test-driven and behavior-driven development frameworks
  • Conduct root cause analysis and participate in code reviews
  • Implement CI/CD processes using DevOps automation tools
  • Create and publish reusable libraries to improve cross-team productivity

Requirements For Software Engineer - Compute Platform

Kubernetes
Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2 years of experience in software development
  • 2 years of experience with agile development lifecycles
  • 2 years of hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN)
  • 2 years of experience in Operating System management (Linux/Windows)
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization concepts including resource allocation, HA, and DRS
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, VPN)
  • Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration
  • Scripting experience with PowerCLI, Ansible, or Terraform
