Description For Principal Service Engineer - CTJ - Poly

Microsoft's Secure Work Area (SWA) Infrastructure and Operations team is seeking a Principal Service Engineer to support their SWA operations and offerings. This role involves deploying and operating Secure Work Areas, including infrastructure for collaboration within airgapped environments.

As a Principal Service Engineer, you'll enable Azure services for internal and external customers in highly secured and regulated industries. Your work must meet security policy and assurance requirements for both public and private sector customers. Key responsibilities include coordinating vendor services, building cross-organizational coalitions, managing complex crisis situations, and implementing reliable, scalable solutions.

The role requires deep technical expertise in large-scale cloud or distributed systems, with a focus on security and compliance. You'll lead implementation of high-performance solutions, address security vulnerabilities, and drive strategic mitigation strategies. The position demands strong leadership in crisis management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of technical experience or a Master's degree with 8+ years of experience in software engineering, network engineering, or related fields. An active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with SCI access and Polygraph is required.
