Description For Technical Support Engineer

Nielsen, a global leader in media measurement and analytics, is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their dynamic team in Gurgaon. This role is crucial in managing lineups and metadata across various media channels including cable, broadcast, and video on demand. The position requires working across different time zones (IST and US) on a rotational basis, serving as the primary point of contact for customer and stakeholder inquiries.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure operational stability. Responsibilities For Technical Support Engineer

  • Serve as first point of contact for customer/stakeholder issues during US/IST time zones
  • Execute SOPs to troubleshoot and resolve recurring issues
  • Provide technical support for cloud-based infrastructure and services
  • Collaborate with application, security and internal teams to resolve complex issues
  • Document and maintain SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation
  • Proactively identify and suggest process improvements

Requirements For Technical Support Engineer

Java
Python
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 4-6 years of experience
  • Proficiency in Java programming language
  • Excellent SQL skills
  • Good understanding of database concepts
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in AWS cloud platform
  • Strong technical documentation skills
  • Knowledge of Scala/Python (preferred)
  • Familiarity with big data technologies like Spark and Hive (preferred)
