Senior Firmware Quality Engineer

Samsara is seeking a self-driven Senior Firmware Quality Engineer to join their fast-growing Smart Trailers and Connected Equipment team. The role involves ensuring the quality of asset gateway and sensor product lines. Key responsibilities include partnering with QE lead, firmware development team, and product teams to define quality goals, expand test coverage, and ensure high-quality firmware releases. The ideal candidate will work closely with firmware engineers to understand architecture, create and maintain comprehensive test suites, implement automation, run systems-level tests, and perform root cause analysis.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field (electrical or computer engineering preferred), 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, and expertise in automated test environments and manual test beds. Strong skills in low-level troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and sensors are essential. The position demands strong communication skills and the ability to work with distributed teams.
