This role is part of the Associate productivity and pricing team, which supports the deployment and adoption of tools and products across Walmart US Stores, impacting millions of associates globally.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining highly observable and resilient systems, implementing automation solutions, and driving DevOps best practices across the organization. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies including Python, Go, Java, Kubernetes, and various monitoring and logging solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, strong experience in cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), and expertise in DevOps tools like Terraform, Jenkins, and Ansible. - Continuously learn and increase adoption of DevOps best practices
- Help engineering teams to build highly Observable and Resilient systems
- Performance Engineering for mobile apps
- Debug and automate Rest API issues
- Build reusable tools, library, dashboards for DevOps/SRE teams
- Create new self-service solutions
- Generate proper designs, documentation and present to stakeholders
- Support operations, meeting reliability and capacity requirements
- Responsible for timely root cause analysis of production issues
- Play a key role in driving the product roadmap, sprint planning
Requirements For (USA) Staff, Software engineer (DevOps and Automation)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
- 8+ years of hands-on related infrastructure, performance and API automation experience
- Strong experience with development in Python/Go/Java
- Experience building tools/dashboards as full stack developer
- Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud platform preferred (AWS/GCP is also OK)
- Expertise in tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible/Chef/Puppet
- Strong knowledge on GIT
- Experience with containers and orchestration technologies
- Good Experience with networking concepts and protocols
- Experience with Monitoring solutions like Prometheus, Grafana
- Experience with logging solutions like Splunk, ELK
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
