Lead Infrastructure Engineer

Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join their IMS systems programming team. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering work in a major financial institution. The position focuses on driving strategy and direction for the IMS environment, including critical responsibilities such as version upgrades, patching, configuration management, and performance tuning.

The role requires deep expertise in mainframe technologies, particularly z/OS and IMS System Programming, along with strong skills in JCL. The successful candidate will lead complex infrastructure initiatives, participate in continuous improvement projects, and work collaboratively with team members and vendors to design and maintain robust infrastructure solutions.

Working in a hybrid model with 3 days in office, you'll be part of Wells Fargo's Technology & Data division, where you'll contribute to maintaining and improving critical banking infrastructure. This position offers the opportunity to work with enterprise-level systems at one of the world's largest financial institutions, making impactful decisions on technical designs and implementation strategies.
