Google's gTech Users and Products (gUP) team is seeking a Product Manager to lead their Feedback ecosystem. This role involves managing a large-scale external and internal facing product infrastructure for handling user feedback data. The position focuses on transitioning products beyond maintenance mode, supporting customer engineering transitions, and driving next-generation feedback solutions.

As a Product Manager in the Feedback ecosystem, you'll be responsible for managing infrastructure that ingests, labels, analyzes, and surfaces vast amounts of data. The primary goal is enabling product teams to effectively represent and advocate for user needs. You'll work cross-functionally with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to guide products from conception to launch.

The role sits within gTech Users and Products (gUP), whose mission is to advocate for Google's users by creating helpful and trusted experiences across the product ecosystem. The team works to meet partners and consumers' needs, represent their requirements to product partners, and propose improvements that enhance engagement with Google's diverse product ecosystem.

This position requires a strong background in product management, technical product development, and consumer-facing products. The ideal candidate will have experience in technical presentation delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to transform complex problems into structured projects. You'll be part of a team that ensures Google's products are optimized for users worldwide through localization, digitization, and partner integration initiatives.

  • Define and advocate the product strategy for feedback and understand user and product needs
  • Analyze every touchpoint across the experience and optimize within that context
  • Generate new ideas, prioritize features, and collaborate with engineering
  • Develop strategies to drive usage, engagement, and trustworthy data and insights
  • Work with engineering, operations, product verticals and other teams to ensure feedback success

Requirements For Product Manager, gTech Users and Products, gUP, Feedback

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in product management
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch
  • Experience working with consumer-facing products
  • Master's degree or PhD in a technology or business related field (preferred)
  • 3 years of experience in preparing and delivering technical presentations (preferred)
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally (preferred)
  • Experience turning broad, ambiguous problems into clear, well-structured projects
  • Ability to define metrics, analyze experiments, generate insights, and communicate results
