John has 15+ years of engineering experience. He currently works at Character.AI where he leads the Product Engineering Team. Previously he was a Senior Director of Engineer at Lyft where he led the Rider Engineering organization (120+ engineers). Prior to that he spent 8 years at Pinterest on the Growth team where he led Growth Engineering (100+ engineers). At Pinterest he helped the company scale from 45M MAU to 450M MAU and saw the company grow from 200 employees to 3000+ employees.
